Cookie policy

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. If there is any conflict between the two, the Italian version prevails.
In short: the website uses no profiling, advertising or tracking cookies, and doesn't load any social media content (Instagram is just a link). We use a handful of technical tools that make the cart, the language choice and the private area work, plus cookie-free visitor statistics.

The provider that hosts the website (Cloudflare) may also process technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect them from attacks. We don't use this data to analyse who visits the website.
How we choose the website language
On your first visit, if you haven't chosen a language yet, the website looks at the Accept-Language header that your browser sends automatically with every request: if Italian is your preferred language you see the website in Italian, otherwise in English. This check happens on the spot and saves nothing: no cookie, and no data on your device or on our systems.
The __Host-agt_lingua cookie is set only if you choose the language yourself with the switcher (IT/EN) at the top of the page. It contains nothing but it or en, lasts 12 months, is only sent to our website and only over secure connections (Secure, SameSite=Lax). It remembers your choice on later visits. To go back to the automatic choice, simply delete it in your browser settings.
Why we don't ask for your consent with a banner
Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 10 June 2021 require consent for profiling cookies and tools, and for any that are not necessary. Consent is not required for:
- technical tools that are strictly necessary to provide a service you asked for, such as the cart, remembering the language you picked with the switcher, the anti-bot check on orders and the private area session;
- statistics that use no cookies, don't identify anyone and are only used to measure use of the website in aggregate form, without combining the data with other information.
Our website only uses tools of these two kinds, so this notice is all that's needed. If we ever add tools that require consent, we will ask you before switching them on.
How to delete cookies and site data
You can delete the saved cart, your chosen language and any cookies at any time in your browser settings:
- Chrome (desktop and Android): Settings, Privacy and security, Cookies and other site data, See all site data and permissions. Search for our website and delete its data.
- Safari on iPhone: Settings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data. On Mac: Safari, Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, Manage Data.
- Edge: Settings, Cookies and site permissions, Manage and delete cookies and site data.
To empty just the cart, remove the products on the cart page. Deleting site data won't stop you using the website: you'll simply need to add the products to your cart again and, if you like, pick your language again.
