Francesco Tarantino keeps bees with his daughter. We sell our own honey, Sicilian olive oil and eggs from hens that live outdoors. We also collect bee swarms and open the apiary to schools and families.

Father and daughter
Francesco Tarantino is a beekeeper in Palermo. You'll spot him by his yellow bee suit, at the apiary and up on the roofs where he goes to collect swarms.
He works with his daughter. Bees, olive oil, hens and the stalls at our open days: it's all family work here.
Come to the apiary
At the Equiturismo e Cultura educational farm, on Via Olio di Lino 9b, we open a hive in front of you, take the honey from a frame and taste it together. For schools, families and groups.
In 2025 we opened the apiary twice for Mielerie Aperte, Italy's open apiary days, in May and in November. Entry was free.

Don't call pest control: call Francesco.
We remove bees from trees, roofs and walls in Palermo. We take them away alive and settle them into a hive. Don't spray anything and don't block the hole they're using.

How to order
We're a small farm: we read every order and confirm it by phone. Eggs can't be posted, so you'll only find them in Palermo.

Francesco calls you or messages you on WhatsApp to confirm the products, the total and the day.
