We open a hive in front of you, take the honey from a frame and taste it together. It all happens in Palermo, at the Equiturismo e Cultura educational farm.

A morning at the apiary for your class: how a bee colony lives, who does what in the hive, where honey comes from. Pupils see the frames up close and taste the honey.
We also run school days outside Palermo: we've held one at Azienda agricola Villare, in Messina.

Mielerie Aperte

A welcome under the pergola, close to the hives.

Honey extraction workshop
A full frame goes from uncapping to the extractor. You watch the honey pour out.

Honey tasting
Try the honeys one after another and notice how much they change from flower to flower.

- Closed shoes and long trousers. Light colours are best, and no perfume.
- Allergies
- If you or anyone in your group is allergic to bee or wasp stings, tell us when you book.
- Near the hives
- Follow Francesco and keep to the distance he shows you. Please don't touch the bees.
